Operations Schedule Data Sets Creating a snapshot of your Reserves data for short-term scheduling |
Create Data Set
To access this dialog:
-
Activate the Reserves ribbon and select Schedule | Create Data Set
This task, part of the Reserves workflow, is used to "commit" your current Reserves data to operational scheduling, using the Schedule ribbon. This function bridges the gap between mid-term reserves block generation and operational scheduling by preparing your existing reserves data in a format that is expected by the downstream scheduling functions.
There are only two tasks you can perform on this panel; create a New data set for operational scheduling, or Delete an existing one.
Once a data set has been prepared, you can select it using the Data Settings panel and progress your data through the various operational scheduling options.
You can edit the name of a data set by overtyping the existing description, and there is no limit to the number of data sets you can create with this panel (for example, you could set up several reserves scenarios to assess their impact on schedule solving).
To access the Datamine files containing your schedule setup information (block wireframes, dependencies, outlines, reserves and sequence data), select an existing data set and click View.
